Good Faith Estimate

Good Faith Estimate

Effective: 9/5/2026

Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to give patients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for scheduled services.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency services, including related costs such as office visits, examinations, x-rays, and treatment sessions. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during your care.

When You Should Receive an Estimate

If you schedule a service at least 3 business days in advance, we will provide a Good Faith Estimate no later than 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a service at least 10 business days in advance, we will provide a Good Faith Estimate no later than 3 business days after scheduling. You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling.

If You Are Billed More Than Your Estimate

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. You may contact the healthcare provider or facility listed on the bill, or start a patient-provider dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
